Want to learn more about the Murals and the History of our area?

We offer Mural Classes and Walking Tours. Learn more about our Mural Program and the rich local history of the area by taking a tour or attending a class. We teach the Class throughout the year and offer Walking Tours during the cooler months of February – March.

HISTORY CLASSES

“The History of Punta Gorda through its Murals” History Class

Join us as we present the history of the area as told through the murals throughout our beautiful City. Visit all 32 murals from the comfort of your classroom seat while we present 450+ years of local history using the murals as a guide. Hear about the Mural Society and get a sneak peek of upcoming projects.

Each class is 2 days (2 hour session each day) and is held at the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library (401 Shreve St., Punta Gorda).

Class Size is limited so Register early.

MURAL WALKING TOURS

Guided Walking Tours

Our Guided Mural Walking Tours are now happening. Tours will be every Tuesday February 7th – March 28th from 9:30-11:30am. Each tour will be limited to 12 participants so register early. Contact the Punta Gorda Chamber to make a reservation (941-639-3720). For more information CLICK HERE.

Self-Guided Walking Tours

These can be done by using our free Walking Guide which can be picked up at the Punta Gorda Chamber (252 W. Marion Ave). Each mural has a QR code you can scan to learn more about it and the history it depicts.
